Aegisub builds

HI THIS PAGE IS REALLY OUTDATED AND YOU SHOULDN’T USE ANY OF THESE BUILDS OKTHX

My own Win32 compiles of Aegisub. No installer, no automation scripts, no documentation, no translations, just .exe and .pdb.

To use, install latest official release, back up aegisub32.exe, aegisub32.pdb and the relevant .dll’s, then replace them with the ones in the archive. If you want to use Perl automation, you need a working install of ActivePerl 5.10 (optional, if you don’t have it installed you just won’t be able to run Perl automation scripts). NOTE: The builds with OpenAL compiled in (most of them) also needs the OpenAL runtimes (not optional, program will not run without them).

Why should I get this instead of the official release?

If you have to ask why, you probably shouldn’t. That said, these builds may at times include stuff that the official builds doesn’t have, or have features or bugfixes that are not yet in one of the official releases.

Important information (read before updating)

I’ve already mentioned this above, but since people keep missing it:

If you get an error about OpenAL32.dll being missing, YOU MUST INSTALL THE OPENAL RUNTIMES. (see above)

The trunk builds are experimental. Use at your own risk.

Download (trunk builds, if you want anything else go build it yourself)

  • 2010-08-14: aegisub-r4743.7z (8.2 MB)

    • Almost a year since last build and still no changelog. Should definitely be less broken than before though.
  • 2009-09-20: aegisub-r4089.7z (8.5 MB)

    • No changelog because fuck updating changelogs. Lots of shit changed and perhaps something is less broken than before. Don’t get your hopes up, though.

Older builds

Old builds (kept around for historical reasons) are also available, although the changelogs are gone. You may want to view the changelog for 2.1.6 -> 2.1.7 though.
